CALM BY THE SEA

HOTEL IN THE FRENCH RIVIERA

The French Riviera is more than a coastline — it is a state of mind shaped by sea, light and time. Between red volcanic cliffs and endless Mediterranean blues, nature unfolds in its purest form. Here in Saint-Raphaël, Les Roches Rouges by Beaumier invites you to experience the Riviera differently: immersed in the landscape, suspended between sky and sea, where every moment moves to the rhythm of the waves.

LES ROCHES ROUGES

SAINT-RAPHAËL · FRANCE

A peaceful haven on the Côte d’Azur: pools overlooking the sea, beach, jetty, restaurant-terrace and Mediterranean views.

WHAT’S SO SPECIAL ABOUT THE CÔTE D'AZUR?

The Massif de l’Estérel region is a jewel in the French Riviera’s crown, with its rocky red mountains that roll down into the shimmering sea.

Its terrains unveil stunning sea vistas and provide an ideal starting point to explore the South: swims in secluded bays, walks through fragrant heathland, boat rides along the iconic Corniche d’Or... It’s here in this unspoilt natural setting that you’ll find Les Roches Rouges, discreetly and elegantly poised by the shore. The hotel’s outstanding location by the waterfront in Saint-Raphaël – complete with private jetty and direct sea access – extends this immersion into nature while offering an exceptional experience: a sun-drenched haven by the water’s edge.

FAQs

Les Roches Rouges is on the Corniche de l'Esterel, between Saint-Raphaël and Cannes, directly on the sea. The nearest airports are Nice (45 min) and Marseille (1h30). There is also a train station in Saint-Raphaël with connections along the coast. Check how to get to Les Roches Rouges here.

The colour. The Massif de l'Esterel is formed of red porphyry rock that turns the coastline a deep terracotta — a striking contrast to the blue of the Mediterranean. It is wilder and less developed than the coast around Nice or Cannes, and its creeks and hiking trails feel genuinely removed from the Riviera crowds.

Saint-Raphaël is an old Riviera town with a good deal of charm — a harbour, a Belle Époque promenade and a relaxed pace that the larger coastal cities have largely lost. It is a useful base for the Esterel, and less hectic than its better-known neighbours.

May, June and September are ideal — the sea is warm, the light is extraordinary and the coast is not yet at capacity. July and August are vibrant but busy. Outside the summer season, the Riviera has a quiet, off-duty quality that many find equally appealing.

The Massif de l'Esterel has some of the best coastal hiking on the Riviera — red cliffs, hidden creeks and sea views at every turn. There is also excellent snorkelling, kayaking and boat hire. The coastal road between Saint-Raphaël and Cannes is one of the great drives of the south of France.

The setting is naturally appealing for families — direct sea access, outdoor space and a landscape that invites exploration. The hotel's character is intimate and relaxed, suited to those who want the sea without the structure of a resort.
